PRESSED SEAWEED
Known
for her signature combination of sophistication and subtlety
for marine life, Karen has added pressed seaweed to her 'Collection'. "As
a child, I was taught to press seaweed into an art form and recently
decided to revisit and explore pressing seaweed. I am delighted to introduce
this gift from the sea as fine art. ", tells Karen.
Each one displays seaweed that Karen has collected from our
Atlantic seashores, ranging from Maine to Florida. Available in
all three classifications - brown, red and green, each is arranged and pressed
individually, expressing the delicate, detailed and flowing patterns. A
true celebration of the sea life that inspired them.
All specimen are framed in 17.25 x 17.25" Italian silver and gold
leaf, acid-washed frames.
Matted in neutral antique white, under glass.
Each specimen is labeled UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, identifying
species and signed by Karen or one of our pressing artists.
All specimens are distinctively different and will vary in mass
and shape. No two, from a category are the same, allowing for
similar, yet diverse groupings. Colors and forms will vary, so
please choose them only by category.
